Filestar is a desktop program for windows and Mac that utilizes AI to handle the processes, this has been super helpful working in digital marketing because you get random requests and more times than not random file formats. Having a tool that can handle just about any task and batch process saves sooo much time.

I used to try and find those free online tools to resize or adjust certain files and they work well, but you never know what the person who runs those will do with the files uploaded, but also if you have multiple files they may limit you and you have to wait a day to complete the tasks.

Converting from webp to jpeg or png now a days is very helpful, converting pdf to word document, or what saved us the most time was batch adjusting dozens of photos from color to black and white. We haven’t even scratched the surface on all of the available tools it has.

One nice feature is that it will save the outputs with the same file name with a slight variation and also save it to the same folder as the original files unless specified otherwise.

My main issue though is that it has to download each task when you want to use it. This does save on the programs overall size, but depending on internet connection or if the server is going slow this can take a few minutes. It does seem to cache the task so you can use it multiple times without needing to re-download, but it doesn’t save it permanently so you will eventually need to re-download. The process itself is quite quick when the task is downloaded so overall saves time.

I’ve been very happy with this program and the fact I no longer need to find a tool to handle file conversions or adjustments I just need to check here first and it always has what I need to do. The price isn’t bad at all for unlimited use, but the free version has enough usage for some who only need it once in awhile.
